Those first newborn days disappear faster than you ever imagined. The tiny fingers, sleepy cuddles, soft little stretches and all those beautiful details become memories almost overnight.
The best time for newborn portraits is within the first 7–14 days after birth, while your baby is still naturally sleepy, curled up and beautifully settled.
That’s why most parents book during pregnancy, usually just after their 20-week scan, so their due date is safely reserved in my diary.
I only take a limited number of newborn bookings each month to allow flexibility for babies arriving early or late, and to make sure every family receives a calm, relaxed and luxury experience.
Your session takes place in my warm Dorset studio, with everything ready for you: wraps, props, soft styling, beautiful colours, sibling and family portraits if you’d like them, and gentle experienced handling throughout.
And if your baby is already here, please don’t panic. Beautiful newborn magic can still happen. Message me and I’ll check what’s possible.

When should I book?
- Most mums book after their 20 week scan to reserve their space in our busy diary.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
- Once you have pre-booked your space, please do not worry. We only take a certain number of due dates per month to ensure diary flexibility. We will adjust your preliminary date to best suit your baby's session when they arrive.
What if my baby is already here?
- Message us to check for the last-minute spaces. Often, babies are late, and we can take on a last-minute booking while we wait.
Can siblings and family be included?
- Absolutely! Photographing your little one surrounded by family is an incredible experience for everyone involved.
